lol, Rosa Parks sells GM
i dont get why they make fun of the man step? i think that is pretty useful…
Chevy also went after the honda pilot because of its fuel economy… the pilot gets better city MPG then the chevy, but the chevy beats it by 1 MPG on the highway…
Why do trucks blow? Because you don’t need one or don’t want one? I don’t need or want a convertible, does that mean all convertibles are crap?
I see more imports in NC than I did in Buffalo. Toyotas and Hondas like mad. Remember, the people that live down here do not work at Domestic Auto plants.
hey, they let my LS2 actually launch. Don’t be jealous.
Very American, very redneck. A truck used for its intended purpose ? thats different. but how many people actually do that, trucks in america are used for compensation.
Know how I know you’re gay? You bought a truck, never tow anything or haul anything around in it. Instead you stuff your wife and kids in the extended cab and pretend you’re still a mans-man as you run honey-do errands to soccer practice and the mall.
OMG
The same can be said about a lot of cars and brands. How many people buy a sports car for the image as opposed to its intended purpose? In reality a truck is pretty practical when you compare it to it’s SUV counterpart. Similar mpg, can fit around the same amount of people yet, the utility of an open bed.

^^ I’m pretty sure that was a big part of Obama’s speech yesterday.
While I agree with you on this, its pretty hard to knock them for asking for a bailout since we are just throwing money hand over fist to banks due to their bad business practices.
I completely agree, but i guess im biased my father and I said the same thing yesterday when we saw the commerical but all we own are fords so to each his own.:grouphug:
Let’s see here.
Tundra sales for 2008—137K
Silverado/Sierra 2008—633K
Don’t go ruining a perfectly good rant with facts. This just confuses people who hate things they don’t understand.
A lot of the features GM is bashing from the competition is stuff some people might consider a waste of money if you are using a truck/SUV as it was intended. Not that they aren’t nice to have, or cool innovations, but are you willing to pay for some of them?
Funny you bring that up today…

Less and less people every year, so your pretty little chart is going to keep looking worse and worse.
Not to really get into this argument, but you’re missing a huge point.
GM makes almost all of it’s money from it’s trucks, Toyota does not.
Toyota didn’t start making full size trucks to sell more than GM, but simply take away some market share so that they could hurt GMs profits… not that GM has made any money recently anyway.
So what that chart really means is that GM lost 137k potential truck sales to Toyota simply because they offer an alternative. And because GM has “all it’s eggs in one basket” when it comes to only making a good profit margin from their trucks, it also mean GM lost almost 20% of what they could have made before Toyota decided to build full size trucks.
Tundra sales % went down more than GM.
Under that logic, Toyota makes most of its money from small to midsize cars, GM does not. So what that means is that Toyota lost potential car sales to everyone who bought a GM car, simply because they offer an alternative.
Yes % wise it did because truck sales in general took a dive.
