for sure. I would love a heated steering wheel. I hate trying to remember my gloves in the morning.
The escalade has it, im sure if they wanted to they could do it, but its a truck…
I love the toyota dash strokers, it’s almost as bad as vw dash strokers.
You do realize that there isn’t any better “design” about them at all? They just made it all larger or bigger.
That is good that the ring gear is larger but when is the last time you heard of someone breaking a GM 12 bolt?
Frame is larger? I think the F-150 actually has the “largest” frame. Interestingly enough, the GM frame is the most ridged. I guess that would prove who’s frame is best designed.
Last time I checked the suspension was the age old system used by 90% of trucks out there.
Do they have long term quality testing even available on these trucks? My friends dad used a straight 6 F-150 as a lawn service truck and a personal truck and it lasted forever. So long the only reason he got rid of it was because it was totaled. He got a new Ford and hates it. My dad had a 1500 silverado that he turned into a tow truck back in the day. Yes a 1/2 ton tow truck holy hell.
Fit and finish is generally shitty on all cars. The only cars I’ve ever been in that have *excellent interiors cost over 100K.
I think it is more of an issue of cost. They have them in the caddy.
Exactly I think because people hear on TV that the interior is so much better, they get brain washed into thinking they actually are…
this is by far the stupidest fucking thing i have ever heard.
people who are buying tundras dont use them as TRUCKS
they are people who want to OWN trucks to SAY they have a truck
they have no fucking purpose
gm/ford offer 3 different duties for their trucks
toyota offers one
gm 2500 series LT1 > any toyota tundra
You cant compare a 500hp supercharged fucking tundra to a GM
My dad tows a 10,000 lb trailor and 12,000 lb dump trailor with his chevy 2500hd and his excursion and still gets about 10mpg
we tried it with a tundra when we test drove one, IT COULD NOT GET OUT OF ITS OWN WAY
i have never seen anyone driving a tundra that used it for the actual purpose of the truck. and no its not because contractors are “poor”, its because they choose a truck that has EVERYTHING. Price has very little incentive, if anything its just a reason for them to get a new truck.
NOT picking the gm/ford over the tundra with their first truck purchase ever
^Way to bitch about a half ton not being able to tow 10,000 pounds. I guess that makes the F150 a piece of shit poseurmobile too.
So Toyota’s marketing is blatantly and overtly fighting to dispell any image of an import truck not being as tough or manly as a domestic truck (could they find a guy with a deeper, raspier voice for the commercials?), yet you all fault GM’s marketing for seizing that concept and trying to hit them where it hurts?
I find Toyota’s commercials obnoxious. “Truckers say…” “Big old pat on the back…” grunt :cjerk:
No, beck is saying that the tundra is the ultimate end all truck
if people are buying a 500hp truck they are retarded. horsepower wont make u tow more shit. Siqqqq,! now u can outrun the other minivans and slower trucks at green lights.
how many people bought SRT-10 Rams? imo i think the srt10 ram looks better than the tundra. both have 500hp, both have no purpose other than “i have a 500hp truck, and cant fit a full sheet of drywall in the back” :cjerk:
lol I should ban you from a car enthusiast forum for saying shit like that.
I for one would love a 500 hp truck.
i have a 500 hp SUV, it’s fun. But it can’t fit a full sheet of drywall in the back.
hey anything with 500hp is cool
it works in an suv, works in a car, no workie in a truck
if anything it is < than a “regular” truck because of the limitations that come with those 500horsepowers
Towing with the SRT-10 wasn’t that impressive, and putting stuff in the back wasn’t easy with the spoiler. At least the Tundra can tow/fit stuff in the back.
The Syclone couldn’t do anything other than go fast, which I’m not complaining about
yeah i really wanted a sports car that could get out of its own way in the snow and haul shit for my house and jet skiis/snowmobiles. I want to whack it with the 150 shot in first gear while towing a heavy trailer and play tranny tester.
[sarcasm] this made sense [/sarcasm]
elaborate. what part doesn’t make sense?
This is crazzy i dont even want a truck anymore, its the best time to buy a car, and the more i wait the better deal im going to get with todays econ. So after all this id probly buy a new dodge truck, mostly because they look bad ass, but im looking at autos again because driving a truck daily is no fun.
the pt u were trying to prove…?
:picard:
anyway, back to the original point. [sarcasm]anyone who doesn’t buy a tundra is obviously narrow-minded and poor[/sarcasm]
I love Beck’s “facts”.
I complete blew up his 1 V6 to every 150 V8s “fact”
Now he just picks a random high number and adds a “%” to the end of it.
In the same post you stated the only reason someone would buy a Sliverado is price and then you asked if they would swap for a more expensive Tundra?
According to any economics book I have ever read, the person should swap 100% of the time and therefore the other 5% would be consider irrational. So I am not sure what you were trying to prove with that post.
The only reason people buy Camrys is:
- Loyalty/Narrow mindedness
- Price
If you disagree with me, go and ask anybody driving a Camry, that if for free, would they swap their Camry with a Maybach? 95% of people would say “yes”.
Now ask anyone driving a Maybach, the same question, but try to put them into a Camry…95% would say “no”.
LOL
actually this is the reason why my stepdad bought his camry. hes a fggt. i tried to tell him to atleast get the S package and he said, “no, the price would be higher”
And he claims the camry is the best siqest car ever produced ever.
