i7 is definitely faster, but unless you wanna drop big bucks on the ‘latest and greatest’ only to loose your ass on it, doesn’t make sense. It’s the worst hobby ever, I used to be into it majorly, but now I don’t have time for gaming on it, and just use the PC for browsing, etc. core2duo and core2quad is still plenty fast for 90% of people.
