I’m curious why they have the internal wastegate and an external wastegate in use during their test…

thats a sick looking turbo, but don has a point…whats going on there?

I was wondering the same thing. I’m thinking it’s probably just part of their standard test rig and they’re not using it during this test, but it’s hard to say. I’d guess that the inlet to the wastegate would have glowed all the way up to the gate if the gate was open and exhaust was flowing through it.

I called on this and they’re not releasing info or pricing at the moment. I’m sure I’ll get the scoop at SEMA in 2 weeks.

seems logical, since there were probably half a dozen proto turbos and various housings bolted on that rig, some with gates, and some without I’m sure.

I also noticed a few companies are saying they developed these turbos with BW so who knows how much involvement each of them had.
