The trip is going really well. I LOVE driving in Mexico, they drive soo much better(crazier) and any law is just a suggestion. cops are crooked as hell though. got pulled over 2x, I just tell them im a poor religious missionary and they usually let me go. there just looking for bribes and everyone here respects the bible, very weird compared to the atheistic US.
We got an apt for about $100 (about 1200 pesos) a month its a nice place, your more then welcome to drive/fly down and visit. the weather is awesome here. I think time will FLY down here… it will be sad to have to return to B-lo.
As for crime/violence I really here see less of that stuff here then i did in buffalo. I spent from the time i left you till yesterday in Monterrey. And being obvious your a Gringo, most of the “bad” people leave you alone, just a lot of beggars looking for an easy money.

I’m glad everything is going so well! I’d love to swing down to visit, I’ll have to see if I have any time to. As you know I was in Louisiana for 6 days, spent two days in a class held by the University of Wisconsin, have to spend a week in Oklahoma in March, my in laws are coming to visit for a week and a half in February and my aunt and uncle are visiting for two weeks in March. Then I’m heading to Germany for two weeks in April/May.

he has another thread for that car. I remember seeing it. he striped the hood so it could be painted as the sun did a number on it. the car in person is real clean… Ill take flaking sun burned paint over rust ANY DAY

I don’t think the owner hit anything in the front, there are some dings on the rear quarters though nothing that can’t be fixed. I actually just replaced the passenger fender with a freshly painted one and pulled off the front bumper to get that painted. I just loved the combo of this car and know it would be market friendly. White hardtop SS… enough said lol.
Yah I’d love to come visit, I’ve really wanted to go to Mexico too but I’m booked up pretty solid. Drop me a text/call when you come back through Houston! I’m always up for good company.

Shit, I love mexico, it’s a bit more risky for myself to go there because of my job (la migra) and they know who we are in the border towns… but yeah, the further you get from the border the better. In a lot of colonies (towns) the cops don’t get paid saleries…they only make what they make in bribes. It’s much easier to throw them a 20 then spend a night in mexican prison.
And +1 to driving in mexico, those fuckers are crazy! Every stop sign is actually just a suggestion, same with speed limits.
Oh, and if you haven’t seen any bad guys yet… on your return head through Ciudad Jurez.
