We have tuned 2 of these, both people were super happy. I didn’t notice a difference, but the owners of the cars said it was night and day.
There is a massive lag between throttle input and the throttle body opening, after a couple weeks you just naturally get on the gas sooner, so I don’t notice it anymore. I’ve heard the tune helps a ton though.
Nice looking for the age, miss my 02 1.8T non-GLI I had. Mine had Eibachs as well, ride was a bit harsh on the stock struts I had always thought about putting a Koni FSD setup in it. Do the APR (or Giac) chip it is worth it.
^on 1.8t it is. On a Vr it isn’t.

^ Yup. Interestingly a buddy of mine has an 02 Jetta 1.8t with full bolt ons, a 5 speed and a Stage 2 unitronics tune, and it’s dead even with my stock GLI.
The stock struts were hosed after one winter, my KYB AGX’s handle the Pro-kit very nicely.

Sold this last night, all cleaned up and basically back to stock except for the Pro-kit, AGX’s and Magnaflow muffler, hadn’t found my grill inserts until after I took the picture, lol

what did you do with the light bar? 
what will be the replacement?
Guess I missed this, gonna keep the light bar, I spent too much time making it to get rid of it, I think I’m gonna throw the larger light bar on the front of the 4 wheeler, keep the smaller one for a different project.
Ended up with a B8 A4 Avant to replace it, loving every second of it.
