New exhaust for the R6

Just purchased a new exhaust for the R6. Picked it up dirt cheap b/c it was used and the guy never clamped it properly so it fell off. It has a few dings but I plan on powdercoating it black anyways so I’m not too worried about it. Should look brand new once done. It just shipped out today so I don’t have any pics, but this is the exhaust here:

From the reviews I’ve read, its very mellow at low RPM but it screams like a GP bike at high rpms… and what can I say, loud pipes save lives… lol. Will take pics/video once I get it put on.

I remember this brand, they are pretty loud. Have fun man!

I want a povic but they don’t make a street legal version for 03…

I like the HR1 because its one of the only shorty style pipes for the 03-05 R6s. I like the clean look it gives the bike by getting rid of the bulky exhaust. And its loud as hell… lol

I think the Micron that came with my bike is already a bit too loud for me…

Thats what I have now, a micron high mount that is chopped almost in half. Its a bit louder than it was before the chop, but as long as its not horrible at low rpm’s, I dont mind a little “growl” at high rpms… lol

Not sure how I feel about it.

Not used to seeing a round shorty, gsxr and other makes made a box so it sits tighter to frame.

I was going to get one of these when I had my R6. They’re loud as hell!

Its actually fairly mellow at low RPM’s. Even cruising on the highway isnt that bad. But the minute you give it the good ole twist of the wrist, she lets out one hell of a roar… lol

BTW, lean your bike over more, that’s a lot of chicken strip showing :stuck_out_tongue:

I commute to work almost daily which is mostly highway. I dont have all that many turns on my way in, and those that are good are in a 30mph zone that is HIGHLY enforced (been caught once or twice before). I want to pick up a track bike that I can really toy with b/c at the moment I’m a little nervous to be leaning this bike over too far… a lot of time, money, and sweat is in this bike and I would die if something happened to it… lol

Fair enough. Please get your foot pegs powdercoated black. They are painful to look at.
