Long story short, I need to have my exhaust altered so the catback and headers bolt up nicely, but the catback is in questionable shape. I had to remove it the other day (by cutting) and it looks like it wont end up holding together much longer.
The bad rust spots are on the b pipe which is aluminized, the resonator looks ok and I have a new magnaflow muffler for it. Is it worth trying to piece this back together? It’s a 3" exhaust and is $700 or so to order a new one, which I"d rather not spend. So buy new piping and fab it up myself or take it to mufflerman and have them fill in between the muffler and resonator- (do they do 3" mandrel?) or put this junk back together?
