Picked up this del sol about 8 months ago, let me just get it clear that I am not trying to be fast or race everything I see, I have modest hp goals(220hp) and I plan to test my hand in some Auto-X events this year. So far really I have focused my time on getting the kit off and getting it looking stock, it is championship white, before the carlisle performance and sound show this year (may 9-10) it will have a a new motor, tranny with an LSD, new wheels, suspension, and exhaust. Really just want to build something that gets decent mileage but gets out of its own way if it needs to
I have never been a fan of hondas at all, and I got this figuring I would just DD it and love the gas mileage, the d15 sucks, its the most powerless motor ever I think. After deciding to paint it type r white I figured I might as well and do the inevitable and put it away and swap it, just got stranded in NJ last week picking up the transmission with a buddy of mine, this thing better be a little fun to scoot around in lol
I have an LS I got from a friend for a few bucks, and picked up a gsr trans with an lsd installed. I would like to supercharge it by the end of summer but who knows, ill be happy that it moves and doesnt look like a transformer. I need to grab a few more things for the swap still.
i have a jdm itr header, and a gsr head, with itr cams, and everything for ls vtec if u wanna go that route! plus i have a p28 ecu tht would just need to be chipped for dohc
or… if u wanna sell the LS motor, i have everything for u to have a 70% built motor (eagle rods, with brand new OEM honda itr pistons) pm me if ur interested at all
