i’m gonna guess…but I’m assuming he got a good deal on a (i hate to say it) PROPERLY DONE ricer car (is there such a thing?), took all that crap off and sold it for about half of what he paid for the car. I mean, look at those CHROME WHEELLZZZ.
anyway, i saw the first pics as the thread opened, and said a little prayer for you… then i scrolled down and saw you already found jesus and saved this car and your ass from a serious flaming.
welcome!
I bought the car because it was a southern car it has not seen any form of snow or salt, I only paid 1300 for it, the kid I bought it from only put roughly 4k miles on the car in 4 years, and it sat for 2 years riced out. I drove it back to my dads house which is in the country, in the dark lol. The kid was an idiot though, he heard a “ticking” and decided the car was low on oil so he added 4 quarts, blew the head gasket, then decided it would look sweet if he took out the del sol seats and replace them with some ebay special racing seats, as well as adding some ebay coilovers to a stock suspension. A friend of mine fixed the head gasket and when I compression tested the car when it was first in my possession it read between 205-210 across the board so that was a plus. Ive managed to take all of my neat blue plastic pieces inside and matte black them, I also went out and picked up a stock carpet and new set of del sol seats before last summer ended. i now have a fairly complete interior in my computer room ready to go into the car. Also have the new motor, tranny, suspension, and wheels in a month or so. lots of work, but all in all including price of the car im just a shade of 5k deep so realistically I could get my money back im sure, it’s just a headache to track down parts some times
just an LS, it’s a FWD car and its a honda, if i can make 200hp at the wheels i would be happy, thats a manageable amount, im not trying to make anything other than a clean car that I can auto x and take to the strip a few times.
