Nice car… never heard of cobalts before. Are they new in 2011?

nope they stoped the ss in 10(i think) and now it the cruze or whatever

i was paying 308 a month for NYS minimum coverage on my sentra alone…and i was talking to my agent at the time and asked him who it was so high on such a POS…he said rates are calculated not only on driving history but on how many claims are filed for that type of car as well…and i asked him about the cobalt and he has seen many claims for them…so i figured it was a no go…i actually had different quotes made up for different cars when i was looking for one and found out a 97 trans am ws6 and an evo (VIII) would have been cheaper than my sentra a month…

yeah im paying 240 a moths for 5 months threw progressive then one moth free and then it get a reveiw and either goes down or stayes the same. but yeah i have a 2007 ford EscapeXLT(AWD) with everything but leather and then the cobalt ss. Both with comp and collision .

Tuning is fairly universal for the most part, I am sure the guy is a great tuner that is very experienced in this platform. Every platform has this kind of guy, he has had hundreds of the same car in and he knows what tunes have worked in the past… I was simply suggesting a local solution that will be just as good if not better. Don’t come at me like I’m putting down this Cobalt god of yours, I am sure he does just fine.

No hate here, bro. I just don’t like it when you say that Nick @ BYT is “much better” than Morgan, it sounds like you are cupping the other guys balls. I understand that his business is heavily specialized in the platform and has a book of tunes that he uses.

When it comes to HP Tuners or “HP tunners” as you call it, I know what parameters are available and the limitations for the platform and pretty much any other GM you can think of. I am no n00b when it comes to tuning, I’ve been using HP Tuners since version 1 when it still used RS232 instead of USB.

Have fun with your car and I hope the tune is awesome, I’m done here.

P.S. - 401whp on stock turbo isn’t really all that amazing. If it was done boost only I would consider it to be pretty cool, but it was being sprayed.

RL:rofl

and with fairly basic mods done no matter who tunes it can only do so much… although there is alot of improvement on stock tables…

BYT IS MUCH BETTER AT TUNNING WITH HP TUNNERS.
