BeaveRun MotorSports Complex Announces New Grassroots Race Series
March 26, 2009, Big Beaver, PA - BeaveRun MotorSports Complex has formed the BeaveRun Racing Association (BRA) to conduct amateur racing at BeaveRun beginning in April. A racing school is scheduled for April 4th & 5th with the first races scheduled for April 25 – 26. A second racing school will be held on April 24 – 25. Eight races are on the schedule for 2009. Racers will compete for points and a purse that will be determined by the number of entries in the race series.
“We’re thrilled to make this announcement,” said Tim Silbaugh of BeaveRun. “During the last few years, many people have told us that they would like to participate in more races at BeaveRun. This winter, we contacted several experienced racers and race organizers who have been eager to help us establish a safe competitive environment for racing. We also prepared a survey and were pleasantly surprised at the positive response. This will give new participants a local place to race and learn racing skills. It will also give experienced racers an affordable alternative to traveling to several tracks during the year. New racers will be able to begin with BRA and transition to national sanctioning organizations such as SCCA and NASA.”
Wheel to wheel race classes will enable racers to compete with cars of similar power and handling characteristics. Time trials will be run for those who desire to race against the clock.
