NEW Moto Droid X - update

My New Every Two is tomorrow  If I get the phone and hate it, do you know how many days you’re allowed to bring it back and swap? I have a Chocolate 3 now, so I’m sick of the flip phone that’s usable for just text/talk… LOL

I am very interested in the Droid X. Thanks Jeff

Either way, is it OK if I come to your store to get my upgrade, regardless of what it is?

No he hates customers.

Well, actually he does, but I bet as long as your money’s green he’ll take care of you.

Just be sure to ask him about getting a droid phone without a data package. . .

Or even better yet… hooking me up with a free data package!

lol, yea you can always come through and I’ll take care of whatever you need. Smartphones require data. I have to update this again, the boss said he owes his neighbor a favor so the 2 will probably be going to him…

so whats the update on this phone? Have you played with it yet Jeff?

x2. I just had this overnighted to my house. Am I going to regret it? I have the Motorola Droid right now, but I like to have new stuff. P.S. How much is a used Motorola Droid worth?

i looked on ebay today and they are going for anywhere between 250-300.

i also took a trip to verizon to look at the phone and i must say the phone is pretty big, about the size of the evo just a little taller but was very snappy in moving to different screens and such

It’s taller than the evo? Holy hell, that thing’s already more of a small tablet than a big phone.

Mini iPad

Good God. Might as well just get a phone number assigned to a netbook with a cell modem.

I hope the Battery lasts longer than the Original Moto Droid :frowning:

I got to play with the Droid X in the store yesterday and I thought it was awesome. Even though it’s large, it’s very thin and in your pocket it’s quite reasonable. It doesn’t feel like you have a tablet PC in your pocket.

My favorite part of this phone was actually how large the screen was. The virtual keyboard was easy to use since you could fat finger without much worry. Maps were quick and you could see so much land that was great.

The store I was in told me a 2 week wait if I ordered it. I decided to pass and see what Jeff could do, if anything. Plus, I’d rather buy from someone I know than a random person at the store close to me.

Jeff… I want this phone. Can we do the order over the phone/PM’s or do I physically have to come to your store?

It’s really not that big. It fits in my pocket fine and is actually less noticeable than my old Samsung Glyde.

Geehee was going to help me out, but said they were all out of them already. I stopped by the store by my house last night just to see its size and what not and they had a bunch in stock still, so I bought it. Was a little skeptical of a touch only keyboard, but it only took me a matter of minutes to adapt to it. So far I love the phone.

it has the same battery as the droid so probably not, if anything it will be worse[COLOR=ā€œSilverā€]

I’m eligible for early upgrade on 7/30. If I sign a new contract does that get me the new 2 year activation price as well? I’ve had a storm1 for about 18 months now and want to upgrade soon.

Im just setting mine up now. The battery is not the same as the other Moto Droid, its actually bigger, so we will see hot it works.

few bits on this phone,

it doesn’t use a snapdragon processor, the processor is uses runs a lot cooler than the snapdragon, which will result in less ā€œforce closeā€ apps.

the battery is bigger but the screen is also bigger. my district manager has this hooked up to exchange and uses his phone A LOT and can get a full day. so for the average user the battery should def be fine, still probably have to charge every night.

also, swype is awesome. with a little practice i could type faster with that than i could on my tour.

was contemplating getting this over my tour but im not sure… ive had my tour for awhile without 1 problem so its hard going from a great phone to something that isnt proven
