Well, if there is still any doubt about the PS3 price drop, this should end it.

Saw that this morning myself. Time to go get my $100 credit back
Supposidly at the end of the week, 60GB PS3’s will be dropping in price from $599 to $499 as well as a new 80GB model which will sell for $599 but be bundled with Motorstorm…
I might just have to pick one up…
FYI a HDD swap takes about 5 minuets and it takes most sata2 notebook hdds
so someone could buy the cheapest one then just upgrade the hdd themselves for cheaper
There isn’t really a game out that is a “Must Have” for PS3 as far as I am concerned so I am on the fence…

except the cheap one doesn’t have wireless internet
online at CC its 499 with a free wireless controler
I use an ethernet cable anyways, it is more stable

Also doesn’t have the memory card slots either. So all the new ps3’s will have the memory card slots and wifi.
I use wired too, way more stable.
As far as the 80gb version, I don’t see who would pay $100 more for 20gb and an old game. I wonder if it’s gonna come with anything else in it, like a $50 bill.
SCEE president David Reeves says that the $100 price cut on the PS3 only applies to the 60GB model and, after existing stock is sold, it will no longer be offered (in the U.S.). The only PS3 left in retail after that is the $599 80GB bundle.
"All they're doing is taking their stock in trade that they've got at the moment of the 60GB model, marking the price down and it will all be gone by the end of July." When asked to clarify if this will mean the end of the 60GB model, Reeves answered, "In America, yes."
*As noted in our comment section, Sony now says the 60GB PS3 will continue to sell into the “foreseeable future.” Like last week’s price cut denials two days before the actual price cut announcement, it is impossible to know whether or not this price point will be permanent or they are simply selling the remaining stock at $499 until they are all gone.
god what a shitbox…lol
wow
and i only have one of the 20gig models or w/e the lowest one is
