If you look at the weight of a gst/gsx and then the weight of the gst spyder the weight is only a hundred and some small change more, not much at all…

Convertibles are ballin’ as fuck and despite what everyone thinks, they are usually within ~100-200lbs of the fixed roof version. Most of the time they are heavier due to the increase in structural material used to maintain/increase chassis rigidity.

the awd system will also add about 200 lb’s im guessing also.

Don’t convertibles tend to do funny things handling wise at higher speeds?

I don’t know about these cars but mine has done 160mph pulls before and I haven’t died even with stock blown shocks LOL.

fmics mounted, one side of the piping is done just need reducer couplers as ic piping is 2.5", fmic inlet is 3" and finish the other side… GM Maf and translator are gonna go in today or tomm, need reducers for that too… Took the cone off the turbo xs rfl bov, gonna weld one side to the ic piping and then use the factory hose to run the other section into the intake to recirculate it.

Until I get the gtx30r I bought an evo 3 16g just to play around with for a month or two until winter, was only $150, ill end up making money on it… My friend Justin Cosseys gonna help throw that in, just waiting on J pipe and install kit to come in.

ETG is in and functioning, AEM wide band is in an functioning, the AEM electronic boost gauge was installed and powered up, but didnt read numbers… was told the brass sensor was bad which I dont understand… A day later the unit wouldnt even power up so im gonna try to send it back, hope it wasnt bc of the installation.

Last, the factory eclipse shifters are so fuckin long that it gets in the way of the radio and in the future id like to throw a doubledin dvd player in there so the shifter was cut 2 inches and rethreadded… Also installed a short throw shifter which im not sure if I like yet lol.

soo, the ebay intercooler and piping went on, was 90% done then I just couldnt deal with how much of a peice of shit the intercooler was so i bought a bit better quality intercooler and piping. My ni99a lance went to Stony point and grabbed me an Apexi front mount with greddy piping flanged for the same exact bov that I already had lol (turbo xs rfl)

Aside from intercooler, STILL waiting on 16g install kit w/ jpipe, 2,000cc injectors, aeromotive fuel pressure regulator w/ install kit and a harness for a greddy turbo timer that my friend gave me. My aeromotive 340 fuel pump came in, waiting on the rewire kit for that as well…

Last, Im going to pick up a 44mm tial wastegate from a shift member tomm and I have a universal dump tube on the way so I can run the dnp tubular manifold I got the other day.

Gonna roll with this set up for a few months until winter and then plans are to grab ecm link v3 for tuning, upgrade to a 30r, pistons/rods, (possiiblyy 4g64 crank), 280/280 cams and valvesprings and retainers… Might grab a 75 shot of nos for it as well but unsure… Will probably paint the car towards the end of winter as well, thinking zr1 blue or just respraying it red.

I hope you have the bov recirculated or else the cars going to run like doodoo. Also what are you going to tune the car with for the 16g and injectors?

I have a gm maf and maf translator which means I can vent to the atmosphere with no problems whatsoever but Im gonna recirc anyway.

My friend has an afc2 controller hes gonna give me until I do my build, they suck, but at least I can tune it myself and have some kind of tuning.
