6 bolts Crank walk now? News to me, sounds like you guys are talking about the 7 bolts. That is a 90 that came with the 6 bolt 4g63, he has nothing to worry about.

Ive had several dsms…Im not stranger to their issues…Was wondering the same thing with the 6bolt crankwalk and figured he meant 7bolt…
Yup you got a 6 bolt 4g63 in there. No crankwalk. However I think the pre 1992.5 DSM’s only had 3 bolt rear end instead of the more stout 4 bolt rear end. You may wanna look into that.
that is correct. find a 4 bolt of out a 93-94 1g and 2g awd’s as well i believe

Had to pull the tranny the other day…Previous owner started taking the car apart and the shaft for the tranny to the transfer case was stuck in the transfer case…Also didnt help that he tried pulling the transfer case with the driveshaft attached lol…SO i had to cut the shaft to get the case down…Transfer case was junk anyway…Took the one cover off the trans to get the shaft out and it was also stuck inside there…Once it did come out you could see the roller bearing looked messed up so I pulled the trans for my buddy to fix it…He said it looked like they ran it with no fluid for awhile cause some stuff was all seized up…But its fixed now just need to get a clutch before i put it back together

I was/am a member like 4 years ago when I had my 1st one lol…Just gotta remember what my pw and username is… Got it done tonight completely… Trans is perfect, Runs good, and just has the 2.5" Exhaust on it
just fyi for anyone wondering all '92+ cars had 4 bolts rears. the early 92s had the 6bolt and late 92s are the first cars with the 7-bolt motors in them. I think the switchover was in april or may '92
