i’m pretty sure i’m buying new wheels 14" for my civic. what size tires should i get? i don’t want the 185/65’s i want something wider, but still a respectable sidewall. please give me a direction. thank you in advance
I can’t speak for your car or what would fit good, but here’s a link that can be helpful in deciding on a tire size.
Punch in your stock wheel/tire size and the size you want to go to. It’ll give you the size differences, and even how much it’ll throw your speedometer off.
What year civic? Most every older civic I know that runs 14" run the same size tire of 195/60. Alot of them came with the 185’s as a factory size, but the handling blows with 185’s. They even used 195 as the factory size on my 91 integra. If your looking for a good tire in that size check out the Fuzion HRi’s (Fuzions parent company is bridgestone). I have them on my daily driver and they are by far the best 14" tire I’ve tried to date. Sidewall on them in pretty decent for a 14" tire (little rollover). Treadwear is like 300+. Cost on them wasn’t to bad back when I bought them I dunno about now. And in rain and even snow they have been pretty damn good for what they are.
