With the cluster tipped forward like that I would nix the CF wrap. I think it looks awesome bare aluminum like that. When it was flat it needed something but now not so much.
Great progress…

Thanks man. I picked up a 1" master cylinder from Deebo for an integra. It should bolt right in… I just have to remake 1 line. But I have to polish the damn thing first. The only other thing I reall would have to do is make a bracket to hold my master cylinder… WOO.
Now it’s officially cool because it has a honda part on it :io:
It always had a honda part on it… But now it’s an integra part vs a civic part.
i say…
Yea buddy!
Rolling like a big shot,

Fresh paint job [check]

Is the outside frame in the trunk wide? [yes]
Are the rims big [what]
Do it ride good [good]
Lean back right hand on the pinewood.
No pics guys, sorry. Yesterday I polished the 1" master cylinder while kuppler8 painted the brake booster. I actually have to lift the motor up to get it in. We also installed my new OEM gas pedal, but the throttle cable seems like it’s adding a lot of resistance. I’ve mailed LOKAR about whether or not there is a lubricant that they can recommend.
If everything goes to plan tonight, I’ll post pics of the new brake booster/master installation as well as the gas pedal… I despise the BMW gas pedal, and may try to remake something at some point.
Who the fuck is kuppler8?!
Are you inviting strangers into your house again?
Any small radius bends causing the cable to not travel smoothly?
Pedal assembly from a Toyota?
There are no small radius bends. The only thing I can think of is that the firewall fitting is slightly cocked and causing friction…
Hopefully that’s the case. I dealt with some Lokar products on my dad’s '55 Chevy and after some mileage on the car I’m still up in the air on how I feel about them. The shift linkage works great…trans dipstick not so much.
As for the throttle cable, on the '55 I used the stock '55 gas pedal with a modified Caprice cable and have a similar issue with the resistance. Before I dismantled the Caprice the pedal felt smooth. I’m geussing your issue to be more the fault of the BMW pedal versus the cable…
Graphite?
Thats funny, i’ve always had issues with my throttle being too light. I’ve been adding/swapping new return springs onto my throttle body a few times now. Finally got something that’s usable, but before it just felt like there was nothing there.
get a servo and drive by wire?
I had the same problem with the Mustang TB on my cavy. It must be the spring they use is alot lighter. I always wondered if they had a pedal spring as well…
Dan
Yeah good idea, that sounds like a very simple solution to the problem I’m having.
I award you 1 Quality Response Unit.
lol, I wasn’t serious.
If he is running Vipec or the new AEM with Drive By Wire built in, it actually would be a pretty simple solution! I was going to go to throttle cable but I’m keeping by wire now because it’s so easy.
Adapting a servomotor to the ITB carrier does not seem like an easy thing to do. lol…
Unless you take a 90mm C5 T/b and throttle assembly from inside the car…
