Can’t sleep so I figured I’d dig up some more fibs
Here’s a quote from r3vlimited (E30 Forums)
NickAlero:
So I’m new to here, but not new to forums/cars. I’m a big 1/4 mile guy, as fun as I’ve found the e30 to be in the twisties, 1/4 mile races are a big part of who I am (other car was a 12 second Galant VR-4 ). So I went to the track, with my bone stock 325e e30.
Before chip: 17.25@80.4mph. Note, I was consistently in the 17.5 range at 79mph that day and never managed to replicate this pass.
After chip, 2 weeks later: 16.75@83.92mph. Nice little boost from the Turner chip.
I posted this because I searched before I found the chip and never found anything saying before/after times. I can only restate how much drivability has improved, the car is far more responsive above 4k rpm and holds this responsiveness right to 5300 rpm.
Just thought I’d ad my newbie contribution, comments are obviously welcome!
Pretty sure it never broke past 14.0?? :dunno
He’s a big 1/4 mile guy. It’s a big part of who he is. :rofl :rofl
for those 12 seconds or less …nickalero is free

Out of boredom, I decided to dissect Nick’s accident thread from a couple years ago. Should’ve known something was up right away.

Yup. Took some pictures too down there last night. There is NO do not enter sign on that one way road.
I can get the tickets dropped due to improper signage, which is one less thing to worry about , and thats all good and such, but I still have no car.
A little detail about the road, I used it everyday since January 14th to get there/back to/from RPI. If there was correct signage I think in over 250 trips through that neighborhood, I would have seen SOME kind of sign.
I dislike Troy heavily at the moment.
When Troy learns how to mark their roads I’ll be all set.
Whoever asked what street, it was Jacobs and 15th. Jacobs is now marked by a no entry sign halfway up the hill on the right side of the road, wasn’t there when I went through it, or through all of this last year apparently.
Thanks for the well wishes.
I personally am OK, as is the other driver. No injuries is always a plus in accidents.
I was driving up Jacob’s St. in Troy, NY, at about 4:45. I am looking for 15th street, so my eyes are on road signs. Stop signs line the road around me. Every offshoot street has a stop sign. I see two roads ahead, one up a hill, and one directly ahead. Having seen stop signs on all previous roads, I proceed through the intersection. In the intersection, I look down and see double yellow lines. I know instantly I’m on 15th Street. I look left, and there’s a car hitting me. She strikes me in the front fender, and I strike her as I spin, sending her off the street.
I get out of my car, leaking oil, coolant, brake fluid, power steering fluid and anything else you can think of all over the road. Smoke plooms from under my car. I go over to her, to make sure she is ok, and she gets out of the car. We talk, as a bystander calls the police.
The road I came out of was a one way street, I was going in the opposite direction. The officer who arrives first gives me a ticket for going the wrong way, so naturally, only seeing the one way sign at the top of the road where I crashed, I ask to see the DO NOT ENTER sign, since there legally needs to be one, as not every driver knows Troy inside and out. There is none. The officer takes the ticket back, and rips it in half, cursing out his Troy. I lol’d a bit, this was the only funny part of my day.
I am at fault, but if it works out, this may be deemed to be the City of Troy’s fault. A new DO NOT ENTER sign went up a few hours after the accident.
We’ll see what happens with it all.
hmmm…
Every time I’ve been down the street, the cars face the same way
No signage eh?
15th and Jacob
14th and Jacob
13th and Jacob
12th and Jacob
… you get the idea
Obviously G maps has been updated since his accident in 09, but the signs have been there forever.
Couldn’t even own up to an accident that was 100% his fault years ago. Kid will never change.
LOL those signs look photoshopped. hahah
I am sure its just the bunk ass google car cam though.

Anybody notice that one story say “the officer took the ticket back and ripped it in half”…Another story says " I can get the tickets dropped due to improper signage"

It’s fucking Troy, every damn street is a one way it seems.
Yes if you drive one street too far might as well drive to green island turn around and try again going the other way.

Lets be serious for a minute. Before all of this happened we already knew NickAlero was a bit slow with common sense. I mean he tried to tune an Alero for christ’s sake. Then he proved to be a pathological liar. Next month maybe he’ll come out of the closet.
