apparently i got it for xmas and it looks like a good one. ive always liked Nikon so im sure it will be fine. just never used it so i have no idea.
i have a similar nikon and know someone who purchased that very camera and they love it. If i were to buy another one I would likely go with that one.

we just bought one and love it. same kit we bought. Its awesome taking pics with the fast shutter speed and not having to take pics 5x to get the shot with a kid that wont sit still

Anyways, if it is anything like the D40 I think you’ll like it, I really like my D40.
i have been looking for awhile now. i was going to get one last year but just never got around to it lol.
For me I would want a camera that has live view. When I was looking at dslr’s I liked the Canon Rebel XS better b/c it was about the same price and had the live view and video.
