They are on a little 2gb memory card and someone put another channel on the wii .Its called homebrew. the wii itself isint opened up at all.Can be played online still and updated.

its a file mod. you install extra files on the wii. its like running custom firmware on a psp just not changing the whole operating system, just adding files.
