yea honda wise theres only a small difference
I will probably go with koni yellows and do sways and lca’s at the same time as everything else is being done because I don’t want to spend way too much money redoing the wheel alignment every time i touch the suspension.
doing swaybars and LCA should have NO effect on your alignment.
I might be selling my oem sway off my LS. I think vlad asked me about it on your behalf.
Ah - the Integra rear LCA’s - are these the stamped steel (hollow) ones - I believe found on the '88 CRX’s and the ITR’s - or the more common solid rear LCA’s? If so, they use completely different shocks than the ‘usual’ solid LCA’s.
Or are you just looking to swap on the solid rear LCA’s that have the sway bar mount, as opposed to the ones that don’t…? In which case - I believe they are the same shocks.
he’s looking to swap over the stamped piece of sheetmetal ones, over to the ones that have the swaybar mounting provisions.
shocks can stay the same. everything can.
the chassis on the EG (92-95 Civic) and the Integra (94-01) are IDENTICAL
let me know when u’ll be selling LCA’s
I was referring to the stamped steel lca’s like these, found on the 88 crx’s and JDM civics/integras:
versus the usual cast pieces (with or without sway bar mounts):
If you are going from one to the other of these two types, the shocks are definitely not the same.
With the stamped steel lca’s you use an eye-type mount:
whereas the cast ones use the more common fork-type mount:
…which coincidentally, are the same koni (no, I’m not biased, really…) part numbers for the 92 civic rears, and the 94 integra rears.
I’m guessing you’re probably are swapping from the cast set without the sway bar mount, to the cast set with the sway bar mount.
yea, sorry, I got a little jumped when I said that. they are both cast, the EG ones just are puny with no provisions for the swap bar mount
No prob at all, just wanted to make sure- would suck to get them and later find out he needs different shocks…
But - if you get a chance to swap from the fork-type shock/cast lca to the stamped steel lca/eye-type shock- it’s supposed to be better handling-wise, and as a nice side benefit, the whole assembly’s lighter.
the only way he would be able to do that is to swap the control arms for type R control arms… they are the only ones that have the “eye” type of connection. and then Im not sure if they would bolt up to the stock 4x100 suspension, he might need the full 5 lug ITR swap.
Type R LCAs are a direct fit for 92-95 civics and 94-01 tegs.
Well I figured out what I am going to do to suspension this spring.

Welcome, the old celica is being treated good, and has a deserving driver… a female :tong
OK well, me my dad and Oleg figured this one out. Prong #5 on the Main relay was only getting 1.5V I checked the connectivity of bunch of wires and found that something was wrong with fuse panel and 12V from ignition were not sent to Prong #5 or ELD relay in the under the hood fuse box. So I just jumped a wire from the fuse at cabin fuse box to the main relay and the car is running.
Here are some pics of what we had to go through. All figuring out and fixing part was done today from 12am-6pm that included removing the whole dash and testing bunch of wires.
