For people with swaps , wiring in the consult is very easy. Nab a obd1 plug from a pre 95 nissan and wire in 6 east data TX/TR power and ground wires from the ECU. If you can connect an SAFC or read a pinout you can do this.
Nissan Datascan on R32 Skyline using Blazt / CZP cable.
Just in case you were considering this as a logging option or for the diy troubleshooter. I was having some ecu issues prior and after to repair I wanted to verify my input voltages and readings. This is worth it imho.
That is pretty freakin sweet.
John used this years ago on my stock KA24DE and my car was way out of spec, instant power and fuel efficiency in under 5 minutes!
I’ve got an older version of DataScan on my laptop which I’ve used on my KA, its pretty nifty… you can log various readings and do 0-60 trials. I kinda wanna get the newer version just for the HICAS feature lol.
I gotta say though, I kinda feel so bad ass with my laptop sitting on my center console showing all those gauges while driving but I just hope I never have to see this…
