I wanted to ask if anyone was familiar with adjusting a JDM car?
Specifically on the following items on my March:
To run on local 91 octane fuel, as the car runs rough below 1000rpm - have already tried octane booster with no significant effect and have re-set the computer?
The car is running really rich as it occationally backfires and carbons up the exhaust tips
The power seems to cut out every so often when the car transitions from supercharger to turbocharger at 3500 to 4000rpm - once you take your foot off the gas and re-apply it works without the initial hesitation?
I am bringing the car to Dyno days and I hope this can shed some light on the problems. I guess it simply be an erannt 02 sensor?

Can anyone recommend a shop to tune the car or even better can someone help me tune the car? I’m willing to pay and even pick you up, unfortunately after buying the March I can’t afford the normal shop rates. Note that I don’t have a garage so am limited to good weather.
The car was inspected by Sumaru’s and I would return if I could afford it?
When people get a new car and its from Japan they expect it to run good but the car still has 60 000 km or more and they need a basic tune up. When i got my silvia I had the same problem so I changed the plugs, fule filter, 02 sensor and cheaked all my vacume lines. Yours should be around 17-21 at idle. Giver a try.
Thanks for the info, as winter is approching I’ll try and get the work done, if not it will be in storage until spring when I will perform the tuning.
As a former Lethbridge resident (west side near campus), how goes the latest with the city? I heard that the Spring and Summer where wet and cold for Lethbridge?
