Hey guys, thought some of you would like to see these photos. Nismo event was this past weekend. Great time spent at Fuji as always, though Id rather be behind the wheel lapping this track.
Couple for now. More to follow…
R35 GT Car from the Euro race series. First time to see this one up close. To be dead honest, I was under the impression the motor was the VR38. But evidently Nissan has stuffed a V8 into this thing. Pretty cool none the less with the gobs of power she makes.
Pretty good shot of the Nismo Xanavi Z33 GT500 car under full assault.
Couple more shots including the Calsonic R34 GT500 car. Followed by a group shots of other GT500 machines.
Somewhat rare this one. An R31 Skyline wagon built by a well known R31 tuning shop called R31-House. RB20 is long gone as seen. In its place was a very stout RB25 E/G set. Power estimated at around 425PS. Not a bad grocery getter
Out back in the staff parking this very nice R34 GT-R was spotted. Looked well sorted on the outside wearing Ray’s Nismo badged LM-GT4 wheels, Nismo graphics package & a find looking original Nismo Z-tune aero kit.
Great photos Adam, I was JUST reading Dino’s coverage. Can I get you to send me any other photos you have of that VK56 GT1 R35? or the 2010 Development cars (with the bare carbon rear bumpers). Thanks!
It’s is shame the r35 gt car is built to the new dumb GT1 rules instead of it being a GT2 car. Now instead of racing against the best teams from Porsche/Ferrari/Corvette/BMW it’s going to race against a bunch of old GT1 that no one cares about.
Ok a few more from the event. Bear with me hear guys, its been a busy sales week!
Here’s the famous R390 Leman’s car. Not certain on the race history, but I do in fact know if won a lot of races for Nissan in its days.
Another R31 here. Well dressed in what looks like a Hakosuka graphic scheme.
New Neova anyone? Once my AD07’s are worn out, the Silvia will be getting a set of these grip monsters.
Mine’s Wave R34 on hand with the Z34 parked next to it. They were planning on bringing the R35 however the newly built and balanced VR38 is not quite ready for use.
No Z’s im afraid. Nismo like to change up the historic cars every year or so. And only one C10 on hand. Didn’t catch a photo of the mysterious KPGC10 in behind. That one never got to race due to the oil crisis…Nissan pulled out in and around that time. Shame
