Gee, big surprise, the QR25 is involved. Gee, big surprise, Nissan hasn’t done anything about a problem they knew about years ago. Anyone surprised?
The QR overall is a GOOD ENGINE, it just has a few weak points that once addressed are no longer problems. Every motor has some problem.
How long has been in production? Less than 5 years? Yeah, dont expect any modifications to the issues, its cheaper to put in the same engine (minus the problem at hand) then redesign a whole engine…

They’re replacing the QR25 this year with the new MR
The MR20DE will be new to the Sentra line… The New Altima will get a new QR25DE engine with a new Intake design…
Wouldn’t it be so much nicer if all those new engines ended in T?
