Not asking for advice, Just sharing my encounter the the police today.....

Seatbelt should be your right to wear. Just like a helemt. If you die, it was your own risk. Your probally voted for obama

yeah, cause every motorcycle has a helmet that comes with it. What state or country can you NOT wear a seat belt in. And before you google one, would you want to live in that country?

i have lived in a few countries that a seatblet was up to the driver, Most people never worethem. I would go back in a heart beat.

Just becuae a motorcylce does not come with a helmet does not mean you do not need one in ny. that argument is not valid.

Your Termi must not be loud enough

So do you wear one now?

It is a sound argument

Car has seat belt for resource
driver needs resource of seat belt
there for, seat belt should be used

motorcycle has helmet for resource
rider needs helmet
there for, rider has no resource

I have a hell of an argument for you to take a keyboarding class

i just got 2 tickets from a UB police officer for rolling through a stop sign and talking on my phone… IN A FUCKING PARKING LOT! i thought i was being responsible pulling into the parking lot to talk on my phone, apparently not. anyways i know how you feel man. my advice is take it to court, the officer won’t show and if your polite and take your friend to the DA he will reduce it pretty nicely. gl with it man

edit: most of you probably dont know that ub cops are considered “state police” so my tickets are with erie country not ub

It’s a 91 Mitsu…in the cops eyes its an old pos no matter how “clean” it is. Then you went ahead and put a loud exhaust on it. Plus you have tints and no front plate. You = punk broke kid high on drugs.
I don’t buy the imports getting singled out thing anymore. 5-10 years ago yes these days not so much. Not sure if anyone else noticed how young the cops are that are cruising around these days. Those guys are used to imports and don’t hate like the old farts did back in the day. Fwiw I drove around in my old S2K for two seasons with a bling front mount no front plate and an aftermarket exhaust. Never got stopped once.

Can you honestly tell me that you’ve worn your seatbelt each and every time you were in a moving vehicle, without exception? If I were to expect anyone to respond with an attack on my post, I would suspect it to be you. And while you’re making references to my intelligence level, read your first sentence back to yourself, slowly. Are you 4 years old?

I think that’s the reason I got stopped, except for the last time she when I was well into 3rdthe gear lol

dear jackass.

Guess where I was last time I got hit by a car…
IN A FUCKING PARKING LOT!

Less cell phone. More drive.

Yes, but I’m driving…or IanK is. You would too.

Yes, no reason to lie. I just don’t see the point in not wearing one. I don’t have a problem with you, just the fact why would u point out u got away with it? Do u feel like ur being attacked?

cool, was the guy stopped?

yep didn’t think so.

I hate UB parking lots. Almost got hit by an asian chick blowing through a stop, and its only 2 weeks into the semester.

i dont think i’ve ever driven without a seatbelt. i feel weird on my motorcycle because i dont have a seatbelt going across me (but then i get over it and do wheelies at 198mph in rush hour traffic in flip flops)

I dont take time to proof read, its a forum, i don’t care about grammer or spelling on a forum. I should, But 90% of the time i type from my phone.

Sometime i do not wear my belt. I think one should have the choice of wearing one or not. The same goes for a helmet. If i do not like wearing one, I then ride like an asshole, or a person drives out in front of. It was my choice not to wear it, resulting in my brain matter all over the road.

The same goes for a seatbelt. The bottom line it comes down to my life, it should be my choice. Now i know these are small topics. It is just the goverment contoling things they should hav no say in.

Perhaps because I’ve seen police write tickets to citizens “breaking the law”. I can’t tell you the number of times I’ve seen cops on cell phones. If you’re there to enforce the law, you should not be breaking it yourself. Does this mean there are two sets of rules? So yes, in this situation I “got away with it”. Wore it the rest of the day.

Police officers are also on laptops while driving, however they are trained and capable of multi tasking, where as the average driver is not. Brought this topic up in one of my criminal justice classes, that was the explanation I was given.

Cell phones can be used for the job, Allowing them to drive and talk.
