Not something I expected to see behind me in a turn on the bike.

I’m sure Jclark knows a thing or two about this…

I was on Alt7 with a friend of mine, tonight at about 2 a.m. having some fun on the on-ramp to 87 South, don’t worry the guard rail promised it would play nice.

Fantastic high speed swooping on ramp that thing is. I get on it and see my friends headlights disappear behind me and I’m starting to catch up to a 1995 accord with tails so low quality you couldn’t even see them, with the driver thinking he is superman nearly dragging the kick panel on the car because of body roll (the car probably leaned more then my friend on the bike) going two lanes wide through the turn.

I pass him, finish the left swoop and counter into the right turn to finish off the roller coaster ride. Quickly glance in my rear - view to see headlights on my ass. :wow

Thinking to myself “This accord really wants to play eh?” :confused

I switch lanes just to see a black E36 M3 go by me, with gold wheels and Jclark reminiscent spoiler (with the driver that looks familiar too).

My friend on the other bike later was telling me that the BMW was doing about 100 through the turn leaving him in the dust and quickly catching up to me through the same turn.

I’d love to know who this guy is and shake his hand :bowdown

Granted next time I’ll try harder :tong

there are pictures of that 3 series with Jclarks and Jammers at a track day

Who what where

ohhhh :lol

Probably Jon, JClark’s roommate.

or Jammer being :nono

:shifty

:tong

;D

Hey that’s my splitter! :sad

That was Jon, I told him, he laughed.

He wants to offer $100 to any bike that doesnt get its ass handed to it on those ramps. BTW, it’s a 325is, so no M Power excuses.

Good times warping past bikes in the twisties. Makes me miss the days when my white car was streetable.

Really? I can arrange that.

Maybe we should make it a $100 bet instead of just free money. ;D There isnt a bike in the world that can hang mid-corner with that car. And the entire ramp is one big “mid-corner”.

Yes it was me, I was testing some new suspension parts for the three days at Calabogie Motorsports Park this weekend. And yes I will issue the challenge to any bike on that turn.

Adam - That’s my laptop background right now, good post.

Fizzle - I love that splitter, sell me more parts.

nuts yo

I could probably arrange a bike to run you for a lot more money, but it’d be around more then just one corner…

Well the more straights you add into the mix the better it gets for the bike. On anything with a good number of corners, there’s no contest. 4 wheels > 2.

Roger that, my 189 bhp is laughable in the straights. However 4 contact patches will always have more grip than 2 contact patches, so find me some turns.

Just trying to make it a fair race for both parties that might be involved. I’m sure the car would beat the bike around this single corner, I was just trying to see if he might be interested in doing something different for a lot more money.

that challenge was for this one turn/ramp… why even suggest something else?

:rofl

He wasn’t challengine any bike to any race.

He said, in THAT corner, if you can pass John’s car, around that corner and that corner alone you get $100.

:rofl

I realize this-I can read. I was just wondering if he’d like a bigger challenge for a bigger purse. That’s all.

What a stupid comment. I’m not looking to setup some elaborate tuner street race festival. More than happy to time trial at a real track though.

Thank you GranMassaX for clarifying things, some people just don’t get it.

I knew this whole thread would cause a bike vs. car debate with all sort of “internet” facts thrown around. Let’s try to steer clear of this.
