Mike @ inn-tune doesn’t do this anymore. Just an FYI. If you buy this from an “authorized” dealer, Compustar (first tech) has a lifetime warranty on all parts.
We stopped selling Compustar. The remotes kept failing on everyone on the one 2 way model everyone wanted. To help customers out I would swap broken ones for new ones I had in stock and then send the damaged ones to Compustar for warranty. I gave 9 total away. Compustar screwed us by not warrantying ANY of them. I lost a ton of money on these because the warranty became me buying remote after remote for our customers to try and help them out. I only started selling Compustar because I was told they worked great by several people. What a huge mistake that was! That said, when they did work they worked great. As soon as we married each new alarm to the system it went right back to normal. If they ever get their quality down on the remotes they’ll be good units, and maybe if you buy it from a shop that does a ton of business they can force Compustar to honor their factory warranty.
Yea I don’t know why those remotes kept dying like that, and it wasn’t just one or 2 it happened ALOT. the unit itself was always good…just those remotes…
