Stupid question, does auto-start work on a manual car? I’m assuming if it somehow did, it’d have to be in neutral everytime I park or risk my car freaking out in the parking lot
Manual will work too. U right it has to be left in N. I guess u will have to pull your hand brake up higher. I’m an authorized dealer so, from now and onward I will have it.
Ive seen these compustar alarms installed…u take youre key out of the ignition…car will still run u get out shut the door and arm the alarm. Car will now shut off…this way the computstar alarm knows the cars in neutral…the Onnnly way to have ur car start while its in gear is if u stall the car then get out and arm the alarm. Compustar is very smart. Theres also a valet mode so u can still lend ur car to a friend and not have to teach them how to use the alarm/starter.
anyone interested in a Compustar alarm should check out Audio Heaven located on Edwards Avenue in Richmond Hill. They are a TPC (Toronto Prelude Club) affiliate, and, from what Jeff (the owner) told me, they are very interested in becoming affiliated with SON.
Jeff installed my alarm a couple of weeks ago… nice guy, good job, great price.
Yup - These guys are also affiliated with TCC and I personally know lots of people happy with their service.[/quote]
Do you have his contacts?? I used to have them but lost them in my mountains of e-mail…his name is Alan and I’d like to cantact him regarding some install work.
And I also know people that got their windows scratched up as a result of a poor tint job. He also tried overcharging these same people too. I have scratches in my tint, as well as scratches on my GLASS, while my friend only has scratches on his tint. My guess, they let the door skin rest on the floor where the fuzzy part picked up pebbles and then molested the crap outta my windows. I also waited patiently with the windows closed for the 4 days or however much I was supposed to, so it wasn’t my fault.
I didn’t go to get it fixed, because for one, it’s the actual glass, and I’m willing to bet he wouldn’t have done anything about it so I didn’t want to waste my time.
