Yay. VoIP only you need “their” router.

:io:

I use UMA at home to make phone calls all the time, different, but works…

I was impressed with their dual mode cell phones that used WiFi and also the cell network to make calls. Great idea if only they had a better network.

SIP trunks are the best for home calling now. Can even share the trunk with anyone who has an internet connection.

Wireless IP Phones FTW!

I knew this was going to be a T-Mo bash just from the title. So mis-informed. So ignorant.

T-Mobile’s customer service is 2nd to NONE and considering this is a wired service, your only complaint with T-Mo goes right out the window. But you go ahead and keep trying to decipher all the Swamis in India.

I’d prefer a phone that works over paying a monthly charge for someone that speaks english.

That said it’s a decently cool idea, especially if you are in one of those areas where a cell phone doesn’t work at home.

wtf are you talking about?

x2, I absolutely hated TM. A pain in the ass company

who is this dude, michal jackson? so ignorant?

Yea. The technology and a phone company offering this is awesome. I hope they make it more configurable that you can add your own WiFi network and allow it to connect to it when you are home or anywhere instead of using the TM router. Like you said, a great way for people who get shitty service in their houses.

one of my customers is specifically asking for this technology for a solution.

Hey I think I hear your phone ringing! You better run outside and answer it!
