NYIRP 8/5/09

lol, yea it scoots. You and mindless gets big  s in my book

It was good to see a bunch of the Rochester guys I don’t get to see much…bpipe, neonglh, new era mike and studderin, etc.

Thumbs up to EVOLUTION VIII MR. There were a bunch of stock turbo Evos there running 13’s so your car definitely stood out. Anyone who says getting an AWD car down the track to a good time/trap is easy hasn’t tried. It takes some work. A similar car that I tuned was there running traps within 1 mph, but was in the low 13’s. The same with some Evos tuned by others. They were all trapping within about 2 mph of each other. Your car isn’t a freak. You just drive it well.

I think Steve did great considering how beat his clutch is. On the first pass it sounded like he rode the clutch to the 60’. Later I found out the pedal stuck to the floor because the clutch didn’t hold. LOL

jay and Many Hots did great considering their tires in the 240 and Roush. I believe all the Buffalo guys drove home except for 2turboz. I’d say that’s pretty good for the number of people that went and considering a lot of them have never driven their car at the strip.

I’d never drive that car without a cage. It doesn’t exactly look like it takes the easy way down the track. Thumbs up for staying in it as much as you did. Balls of steel.

:naab:

I have some real stiff avid mounts, i honestly just started missing gears more and the trans is making all kinds of noise i think they have to do with one another :banghead:. Luckily i got my spare trans together so hopefully ill be getting back in the grove real soon.

The night was run like a cluster fuck, I was very disappointed in getting only 2 runs in during almost 3 hours.

I’m heading back up tomorrow night I think, hopefully it won’t be as busy since I need seat time for my launches

thanks  silly mustangs…:mamoru: atleast it was nothing major though for kyle

I should be there running as well tomorrow

I should of skipped food and went home. I over slept and missed therapy

No way in hell where you skipping food haha

Hopefully minor…the bolt that holds the bracket might have broken off in the head. Sigh

What did turbols1 run?

me? either way i was happy with my 12.5 at 110mph. and god i just cant stop laughing at many hots haha

car is not ready yet

I have a real good feeling that it pulled a heli coil out of the head … just did some reasearch and found that was pretty common on emission heads

Yea I agree you need a cage.Funny other cars at the track ran faster then 11.8 and no cage required.

ya i may go to either track tomorrow but im not sure. my car was in limp mode (kinda) because my vss wasn’t hooked up. props to JnJ for pointing that out. i had an early morning so im probably going to take the rest of the day and do my wiring and misc crap. hope to cruise tonight, and if all is well, i may go racing Fri. depends if im blowing through the converter or not.

it could also be to large of a FMIC … you need to put on :snky: to make up for all the extra room

Yeah that kind of sucked but w/e…

The car still went 108 in the 1/8 that pass and the second pass it wend 110. Not quite GTO power but still quick…

I’ll cage it over the winter.

We had a great time last night. Weather was great and a lot of people were out.

We brought two cars down just to have some fun.

Our customer James white Evo with our FF turbo kit went 11.2@127 on 24psi hitting the rev limiter before the trap every time. Not bad at all for 93 oct Pump gas and stock motor.

My brothers Evo went 12.4@113 un tuned from the recent mods. It had a bad flat spot in it and the clutch has gone to crap. Still not bad at all.

All and all We had a great time and cant wait for next time.
