That was definitely a fun time… I’ve gone to NYIRP but never in my car, so it was cool to finally race down the drag strip. I too have an exhaust leak (and something’s up with my left front wheel), but the big problem was that my launches sucked.
I’ll work on those, get things repaired and come back soon to get some better times. Maybe as good as the 14.7 Car and Driver got with my car back in '01

Jan they ran 14.1 in a stock WRX. I went 14.2 in mine 100% stock many times, but I don’t think I ever hit 14.1.

Haha. Not for long. I dropped the muffler, put an MBC on and ran 13.6 at 96 shortly after that. 1.63 60 foot. I launched the crap out of that thing.
I went 14.2 and I’m no pro. I’m sure it’s possible with the right conditions. NYIRP isn’t exactly the best prepped track

Last night was a great time at NYIRP…we had a lot of members there from UNYCGP, and had a lot of new PB’s…
I just got turned onto this site from another user, so forgive me if I don’t know everyone. I did see the WRX last night right next to my Regal! Hope to see and meet some of ya’s next week.
I’m hoping to bring the taurus back out next week again, I will break 14.5, or the transmission not sure which yet.
