That was my best “sandbag” run of the night. I ran in the MOM’S race at NYIRP last night, did 3 qualifying runs. First was a 12.6, then a 12.2 and 12.2. I was put up against a Camaro that was going 12.2 and 12.3 all night. There was a .3 breakout, to prevent sandbagging. I went 12.1, beating him, and not going to fast to get DQ’d.
I also raced Elmisterio666 last night. That car is awesome man, it must just be a daemon on the street!. We raced and he went 12.21 and I went 12.24. Stupid .03 faster than me!! But… I took the race with a .12 faster reaction time. I’ll take it! Later on he popped a tire from the slick expanding and cutting on his fender. Lucky you didn’t get hurt man, that could have been bad!! Nice meeting you.
The run I mentioned in the title, my 12.6 @ 91 mph, I had my best launch and 330’ time, but then when I tried my first ever WOT shift from 3-4 I missed 4th bad, and just decided to coast/hit the brakes.
Fun night. I got much better with my burnouts, getting both wheels pretty good, and pulled consistent 1.9 60’ times, every time, instead of half 1.9, half 2.5.
