No. Nys said they will only end up with 120 something to put towards the budget after the costs of plates, county kick backs and admin fees or some bs like that. looks like shit and that arcticle is packed of so much bulshit. these plates arent for saftey or reduced insurance. theyre a way to get more money out of us. and the plate readers, their main purpose isnt to see if a car has been stolen or used in a crime, its to let the cops know if our reg and inspection and everything is up to date.
fuck that shit. when these plates come out im switching to the envoy bumper cover on the truck and will not run a front plate.

Man if this passes I’m done. I have about 10 extra NY plates I throw on cars at different locations that I have for sale. Any Idea when they all have to be changed out? Maybe when your reg. expires
Check the DMV website, it says that they are rolling them out when you renew your registration after some date in 2010.
I dont mind them, because they’re RETRO, i think im gonna take my car off the road so i get em in APRIL
