I am gonna power level you about trackdays with this link here, and bascially what rob said. Enjoy!
some organizations allow: a textile suit for level 1 and work boots for level 1
and some also require a hard back protector for all levels
some also let you use a leather suit for free as a first timer.
theyve been working on the subbase, heres a pic looking up the straight…
150 ft of elevation change should make it pretty interesting
Yeah, they just revised the layout to what rob shown.
Looks like an illegitimate child of Mid-Ohio and Thunderbolt. :rofl
turns 14, 15, and 16 look really really fun. i love quick direction changes.
May be I will ride up there this weekend to check out the site, and make sure they are not slacking off. :rofl
^^ If I had a motard (cough Vlad and Urban) I would take a lap around the unfinished track
I just got word that the track will be run in both directions, so it will be like 2 tracks in 1.:excited:excited
:excited
I can not wait!!! I wonder if it will look dumb me taking my blast around that track thou with everyone else having sportsbikes lol
If there is such a place that no one will judge you by what you ride, it will be at trackdays. Just concentrate on your riding. Having a big bike doesn’t automatically mean you can ride it well, having a small bike doesn’t automatically mean you suck at riding. For reference, just watch any Moto3 race.

Tommy, I moved our gear discussion to the gear thread: http://shift518.com/showthread.php?t=29227&page=4
Should i Track the Rc51 or buy a 600 hmmm decisions
Used and built track bike for sure. Unless you like building it yourself, which is fun, but it will cost you a bit more.
if you’re just doing the occassional trackday the RC51 should be fine. if you’re worried about crashing it then just take your time on your first few trackdays and make sure you’ve got really good tires. a dedicated track bike would be nice, but isn’t necessary. but that’s totally up to you.
good ideal I like the ideal of trackin the rc51 cause i believe the bike would be at home there an plus im really comfy on this bike
but one thing that sucks about tracking a litre bike is you’ve got to be real careful with the throttle, so just keep that in mind. On a 600 it’s less of a big deal and you can concentrate more on things like braking and cornering, that’s why it’s always better to start small in racing (like the 250 class or the 650 class).
also the Rc will eat up tires when you start getting faster
Just sell me the RC and don’t worry about it.
