I don’t go out in leathers anymore, I save the speedy corners for the track. I bought an SV650 when I got back from my moto cross-country trip to replace my Nighthawk. I’ll be doing a track day Saturday, they are tons of fun. But yeah, I’ll shoot you a text over the weekend if it’s nice out. I also agree when it comes to riding with people, I like riding only with a few at most and even then, I usually stay in the back.
I’m not looking to race around on the streets, just normal riding and some wheelies and burnouts once in awhile lol. The last 2 times I rode in the back I got caught up in the bullshit. I like to ride back roads, but most people seem to enjoy riding the thruway and going in a straight line the whole time. I need to put tires on my bike this week before I take it out. Do you have a tire machine at your garage? Might buy a cheap one, haven’t decided.

I don’t have a tire machine at my shop but, I do have a guy who comes with one that attaches in his hitch to install and balance tires. I also suggest buying Dunlop Q3’s, although it depends on what type of riding you do. I can’t remember what style tire you had on there the last time I saw your motorcycle.
I was on the stock tires and they were horrible once I started pushing them. I haven’t decided yet on tires, either conti trail attack 2, or another set of pilot power 2ct’s, not sure if I want to spend the extra $100 on the trail tires. I’m not riding hard enough to justify the q3 and only get couple thousand miles out of it. The 2ct sticks pretty good in the curves and will get 2x the milage. I’ve been doing some offroading and dirt roads so I’m contemplating the trail attack, supposed to be really good on the street for an 85/15 tire. I need to order them tonight though, been putting it off for a few weeks.
2CT’s are a great tire as well, I used to run those before the Q3’s. Let me know when you get them on, I’ll be at my shop tonight finishing the GSXR front end swap on my SV.

Yep…already put in about 500 miles this year.
I miss riding. Last year I sold my bike because riding for the last 10 years it inspired my little brother to get his permit. I wouldn’t be able to live it down if something happened to him so I sold everything, and he decided not get one. Thought I do have a killer itch.
I’m trying to get into the game again…
