Speed triple isn’t that fast.Rode the 675 daytona today and it felt pretty sweet though the seat was like a rock! Gotta ride the “dragon” in North Carolina someday. Got 200+ miles on the Powers already.I’m not used to the lean angles these tires can handle! After riding the daytona my bike feels like a piece of shit.

i’m still in VT. we leave first thing in the AM, should be home by 2. I’m just over 800miles at the moment. I think its 350 to get home. 1100 miles in 60hrs isn’t too bad lol. I’m getting 48mpg on the highway too, total shocker. The twisty roads are considerably less haha, I’m almost always WOT out of every corner. We only got rained on the trip out and once coming home from dinner friday night. Bike did well in the rain, held corners extremely well. She only spun up when I really hammered on it. Today was perfect. Tomorrow we’ll get rained on going home, but my rain suit keeps me completely dry. My hands are the only thing that get soaked but they dry really fast after the rain. All in all it was well worth the trip the roads are seriously ridiculous out here. We rode 4 different mountains to the top and back down again. Temperature is easily 20 degrees warmer in the sun versus in a shady valley in these mountains, its crazy.

Got completely soaked last night riding back from Canada. I think it is time to invest in some rain gear. The ride from Niagara Falls to Ft. Erie along the river was nice though.

I was just riding along. I’m fairly certain a spring and retainer let loose making the valve whack the piston then proceed on out of the head. Coolant smoke show on the I-90. I’m sitting in Calajoharie NY right now waiting for my ride home. Seriously this is the worst day ever.
7:30a - Drop bike in parking lot putting my saddle bags on, break right fairing and lower. Also push bar end into throttle tube not allowing the throttle tube to move.
8a- Completely paid off AMEX gets denied for no reason after breakfast, I have no cash, must use ATM to get money and get charged service fees.
9a- Hit the road, get rained on for an hour and a half, rain suit has rip in the leg water enters boot.
11a - Bikes starts running shitty, figured bad gas, bad plug, bad coil pack. No overheat, keep on trucking.
11:15a - Hear marbles in the motor, great. Slow down, BAM smoke show, no power at all.
11:20a - AAA says oh yea, we don’t cover NYS thruway, call them. NYS thruway sends a truck. I get towed to their shop 5, yes 5 miles away.
11:30a- Me yelling at the tow truck driver for charging me $89 to go 5 miles when I have AAA gold.
12p - Walking in the pouring rain through a bailey avenue type area to get to the local mcdonalds so I can eat the worst dbl cheeseburger ever.
1p - Find out my mother who I haven’t talked to in 5 years and now has leukemia really didn’t have leukemia, she just said that so the family would talk to her again. I’ve been by her side the past 2 months as well as the rest of my family.
And it’s only 2p!
Now when the g/f gets here at 4pm I get to take the bike to buffalo, then take her dads trailer back to pavilion ny an hour away, then drive back to buffalo to smoke so much pot I can’t even see straight.
But I seriously hope its only a destroyed head. I’ll just let it sit all summer and throw some race cams and titanium retainers and shit in it this winter. If not I’ll grab a good motor and sell it next spring. Either route I’m all done riding for this season.
Sounds pretty horrible, Ryan :tdown: I wonder what could have caused the motor to implode seems pretty strange, good luck getting everything fixed dude. Think on the bright side, your day can only get better.
