So here is the scoop. This event is growing quite fast, and we’re going to jump in and add to it. Not only do they expect more people than Carlisle does this year, but it costs less, offers more and it’s for charity. You can’t beat that. More NYSpeed specific details at the bottom of this post.
Winged Warrior Performance Challenge (Import vs. Domestic Shootout) & Car Show

"If you are unfamiliar with the Winged Warrior Shootout, it is a charity event initially put together by my wife and myself, which started as a “toy drive” at my office years ago. The sole purpose of doing this event is for helping the sick Children at Riley Hospital for Children, here in Indianapolis Indiana. It has expanded over the past three years into a “battle” of the Import vs. Domestic manufactured vehicles and performance challenge, with entrants coming in from as far away as Florida, and celebrities showing up and joining in on the fun as well!!
We are going to do some EXPANDING for this year’s event, as we ran out of room for the spectators and participants the last 2 events we held at local airport properties. We are actively pursuing celebrity racers as well, and to date, there is a strong interest in those celebrities we have contacted as wanting to participate and race in this event."

Registration FOR RACING is linked right off the main page. It ends March 16th, and teams are picked April 2nd.
Registration FOR SHOW won’t be up on their website until Jan 15th.
You can either compete, or just show your car at a spot set aside for NYSpeed members.
To race, it will cost $100 per car.
To show it is $20 in advance/$25 at the door.
There are LOTS of trophies/prizes etc up for grabs. They are expecting over 800 people apply for the 130 spots, and they pick the cars to make it a “close” battle, and more fun. Anyone looking to race sign up as soon as you can - you can always withdraw if you would rather just be in the show or are not picked. But I’m told they’ll “save” spots for us in the competition if we want them 
Like any show, there will be countless vendors etc as well.
All NYSpeed members should EXPECT to have the NYSpeed logo somewhere on your car for this event.
More details as far as hotels, the cruise there, etc I’ll have posted later. It will take about as long to get there as it did to get to Carlisle. I should be able to find some cool stuff to do in Indianapolis too for the night after the event. Some event details are still in the works, so when I get them I’ll post them up.
As for who’s going, I’m going to keep a list and as usual, you don’t get on it unless you’ve actually registered or I KNOW you’re serious (seen the $$$.) All NYSpeed members are encouraged to attend.
