Just giving you guys a heads up. Strange how you look at it from the outside now, and the more things change, the more they stay the same.
From your view - While I was at the helm, I “listened” more? I don’t think you realized the amount of flak for NOT upgrading the site, NOT giving better / different skins, NOT making this site stand out and differ from others, NOT being actively participating every day, NOT making things clearer and better for vendors, and NOT “caring” enough. I took a step back, looked at things, talked it over a bit, and now see all these things being addressed. Now that they are - you are bitching?
Seriously, you guys are fucking brutal about everything. People like stuff, people hate stuff. You have to draw a line at what you do. You’re always going to piss people off, you’re always going to never make everyone happy. YOU as members have to see that.
As an admin here, you can’t ever win. I would say I feel sorry for Josh Bing & Mike, but I can’t, because I’ve been there way too many times.

Sorry, been trying to love the new skin but it’s like trying to love a sharp stick in the eye. Could you possibly add a minimalist / simple / clean / basic one to the choices? Something like, say, what was there before? 
my only gripe is the asphalt. It looks like that cheap graffitti paint you put on the floor of a garage. Other than that I LOVE IT keep up the good work guys. All good things. People dont like change. I say tough shit.

Since it didn’t look like the suggestions were going to be acted on I decided to make some changes to the default skin myself.
Prerequisites: Firefox and AdBlockPlus
Add the following blocks:

http://www.nyspeed.com/forums/OnyxSkin/images/blacktop.gif
That gets rid of the giant NYSpeed logo, the blacktop over the random header image and the blacktop background. AdBlock Plus also takes care of the embedded ads. Now it looks really good. :tup:
LOL I will actually be changing the background in the next day or so… We are also going to be changing the header in the very near future. It takes more than a day to rebuild Rome.
Nice workaround though.
