The more I look at this new theme the more cheap and incomplete it feels. It really needs more work before you guys put it into production. The logo up top is way too big. Where it says “New York’s ONLY State Wide Automotive Forum” is just kind of hanging out there in the middle of nowhere. The pictures up top are faded on the sides but have a sharp line on the bottom. The icons are OK but just don’t seem right. It just reminds me of the beginning days of the Internet when people put little goofy graphics on their website just because they could and had no reasoning behind it. Just a little constructive criticism…

I like it overall, but some part of me does think that it looks a little like some cheesy myspace page…the background looks cheap, and it’s a little on the busy side.
I really miss our “happy” blue. I can’t get used to this.

LOL. But seriously, bevel/emboss in 99% of situations is uncool. Also, what messed up font is the “New York’s ONLY…” text in? It’s all distorted and terrible looking.
The other thing that is killing me is that the layout and visual hierarchy went from being somewhat clean and well spaced out to random and cluttered.
I honestly would stick with the old template in terms of layout/spacing/etc and only modify graphic files, gradients, background, etc as needed. You can easily change the aesthetic this way without screwing too much with the overall usability of the site.
I would be willing to help out with a cleaner, more modern background/logo/header if you want…

Yeah but not everyone hates everything. Im almost positive you hate kittens. Not to mention we got it the first time you said something. I will say we have had it for over a month(mods) and I did not like it at first and spoke up about it. Now looking at the old one is brutal. I would not mind a solid color over the textured background though.

The only that that annoys me is the textured background which is a bitch to look at.
