capitalism is really only working for those making something like 250K+ annual. the tax system is set up to protect the wealth of those above a certain level and plunder those benieth. unless you make virtually nothing, then you start to ‘benefit’ again

I half agree with this statement. Our system is set up to protect the rich AND lower class giving the middle class the squeeze from above and below. I find less a problem with the tax system protecting the rich and their assests than I do with people getting pulic assistance en masse.
the system is set up only to protect the rich. consequently there are more and more lower class as time goes on. eventually there will be no middle class, just the upper crust there is now and everyone else on welfare. its going to get to that point before there is any real political change, and it wont be due to new ideas or revolution, it will be because the system simply can financially sustain itself any longer.
The system can’t sustain itself now as we’re already a welfare state. The issuance of food stamp under Obama went from 20 to 40 million recepients. When you give someone something for nothing what incentive do they have to go out and make their own way? They have none, they’d rather live off the system and when that system is threatend they look to the people that have been succesful to keep their gravy train on the tracks.
The solution of course is not to fix the problem but to tax the rich more when they already contribute vastly more than any other taxed group. When you take more money away from the rich that’s less money they invest into their businesses and that equals less jobs for folks like you and me.
I’ve said this in other threads, this country does not have an income problem we have a spending problem.
Obama’s redistribution of wealth is nothing more than socialism, marxism. communism, etc and history has proven it does not work and the people of this nation will not stand for it.

so far i haven’t seen anything that redistributes wealth, other then giving tax money to corperations which is really robbing the poor to pay the rich, the opposite of the redistribution you are mentioning.
not over taxing the rich so that they invest in the economy is only part of the equation, if the economy sucks they are more likely to hang on to thier money. When Warren Buffet speaks, peopel should listen. The rich pay more $ but much lower %. some may think this is fair some may not but a flat tax would mean a lot more money for the government.
