So the powerplay still sucks, and the penalty kill isn’t much better.
Picking up right where they left off, but now we don’t have Briere or Drury for the miracle goal with seconds left to tie it up.
And the free agent line of the Islanders is going to get them a lot of goals this year.

yea…powerplay wasn’t as bad as the PK. Defense looked like shit. But oh well… it’s the first game. Hopefully they will do better tonight
Offense is still plenty high powered, and looked good early. Defensively, we were horrendous. Sloppy puck movement in the 3rd was painful to watch as well.
I thought the powerplay actually looked good. they had movement, had some chances. DiPietro made some amazing saves.
so our special teams went a combines 0-7, PK allowing 3 goals on 3 chances, PP goes oh for four

actually, i’d rate that our entire defense blows…ive never seen such sloppy and unorganized defense from this team in a long while
i say trade kalinin for a used towel and start priming card and funk for their soon to be realized roles
i was also INCREDIBLY DISAPPOINTED by the play of connoly, hecht, and pominville except for one shift where TC burned everyone and almost scored from his knees…other than that they blew
our fourth line of ryan, gaustad, and peters held the isles in check for two periods…and then got no ice time after that…
and did i mention our defense sucked? they left miller out to dry on every goal…i hardly blame miller for the loss…

yup, they were looking good but turning it up with 5 minutes in the 3rd is worthless wne they are 2 down. The d is gonna have alot of work to do.
