**Official 2008 Buffalo Bills thread**

The offense struggled last week too. Can’t count on S teams for every game. I’m not saying I’m not happy with the way the Bills have been playing. I just think they will have to step it up if we get into the playoffs.

I dont think they struggled at all fact remains most offenses dont score everytime they get on the field. If the defense got us the ball more in the second half i dont think it would have been this dramatic of an ending. This game was perfectly managed by edwards.

I think the heat was the biggest factor in this game and the fact that we beat jacksonville on there turf in there hot humid weather says ALOT imho.

I have to agree with whoever said the defense needs to step up there game. Offense looked fairly solid when compared to the defense.

Yeah the defense missed lots of tackles. Edwards did just enough to win and besides getting blindsided and fumbling, which wasn’t his fault, played a pretty mistake free game.

Before anyone says OMG we barely beat them. The Bills did not barely beat them, we almost lost the game to them.

The bills rushed, passed, and did everything better than the Jaguars. The Jaguars were in the game because of the fumble, and the awesome special teams onside recovery. Without those two possession changes i’m confident they would have had 10 less points.

In the End Bills are 2-0, and a much better team than Jacksonville. Oh and. a top 5 defense in the league. with a middle of the pack young developing offense, meaning they will only get better.

100% disagree… 2 healthy running backs for them gained 66 yards when the tandem averages 130 - 150 years a game. David Garrard, passed for 165 yards with 1 INT and NO TD’s.

This is a very good defensive standing, OMG you have to tackle better. put any team up against david garrard, and tell them to tackle him when he is scrambling away, at 6’1 245, with some serious motoring ability… good luck.

cliff notes… Jags = 145 yards through the air (sacks factored in), 98 on the ground (Jones-drew and Taylor held to 66 yards, a tandem that had 1900 rushing yards last year). = good defense despite what you say is bad tackling.

i cant find an NFL thread but did anyone see the ending of the broncos/chargers game?

what an F up by the ref, but per the rules, denver benefited

God that pissed me off so fucking bad. It was CLEARLY a wrong call. The game should have been over right then and there.

EDIT - and what’s really fucked up, is that the ref even went up to the Chargers head coach and told him he called it wrong. Fucking retarded.

the same exact thing happened in the bills game… and it was ruled a fumble

the ref can’t do anything about it, sure he could have let play continue, but in the heat of the moment it looks like a incomplete pass. Sure it sucks for the Chargers… but what can you do… rules are rules.

True, and it seemed like the head honchos upstairs tried to help a little by reviewing the following play. Also the broncos head coach giving them a chance to change it by going for the 2-point conversion instead of going into overtime, but still. It fucking sucks.

I thought that was very honorable of shanananananahahananaananahan. to him.

:frowning: for the chargers… but… IT HELPS THE BILLS INDIRECTLY IN THE PLAYOFF RUN FUCK THE CHARGERS!!

oh looks like its gonna be a three way between the BILLS, PITT, and DENVER (dear god jay cutler why are you doing so well)

Simply stopping Mcfadden next week, the Bills are going 5-0 and probably 6-0 when they play san diego at home

percentage of Bills winning the next few games

75% against Oakland (stop mcfadden and LOL @ russel)
90% against STL (god they are bad)
70% against Arizona (weak ground game, disrupt warner, game set match)
65% against San diego (Turnovers, force more turnovers, and more turnovers, san deigo is very well balances, trent might have to take this to a gunslinger battle)
80% against Miami (ranked 30th in the NFL in my eyes they are just bad)
75% against Jets (lol they are poopy)
60% against NE (its new england, still a solid defense, but a solid no mistakes offense attack they have no chance, as long as Cassell struggles with the system)
??% against Browns (who knows here)
90% against KC (damon huard lol, blows)
80% against SF ( showing some moxie with the past two games they are starting to improve, alex smith? how will he do)

moving on…

Week 16, battle for the AFC conference?? Could be an insane rematch.
Week 17, :frowning: If new england is the system that they are, your superbowl contenders are back in full swing, I just hope they are knocked out of playoff chances at this point, starting 2-0 already… its unlikely)

bills looked good, enjoyed watching yesterday

AND FUCK YOU OFFICIALS FOR FUCKING THE CHARGERS OVER lol how the hell do you mess that up…ugh

edit and yea he made the right call based on the fact that he blew the whistle, but he should know damn well to NOT blow that whistle and then review it after the fact if needed, especially an experience ref like him

fuck yeah they did, blind ass ref lol

because he finally figured out he’s diabetic and how to deal with it  to him, as much as i hate the broncos

my new favorite team to love to hate… Srs Bsns this year for sure

Oh my only gripe with the Bills is the mediocre running game… I think it will improve, it can only get better, but its a 3rd pound it down their throats type of running, that requires the Bills to wear down their opponents, that just didn’t happen against Jax, when they had the ball for nearly the entire 3rd quarter

i’m almost compelled to buy an edwards jersey… was pulling for him last year good to see he’s doing well, i can actually watch bills games now that losman isn’t in there

I think as they go along, and teams have to start respecting the Bills passing game, the run game will come into full effect. It’s been some time since teams had to respect our passing game.
