I just wish the McCain supporters and the RNC in general could try beating a presidential candidate on issues on not try to smear a persons character or patriotism.
Any respect for John McCain that I had prior to this campaign is completely gone, especially with those hateful automated phone calls.
Seriously, attack Obama’s tax plan, healthcare, views of the economy, the iraq war, the supreme court and I may dissagree with you but at least you can have a debate.
McCain and the RNC have attacked Obama on Ayers which means nothing, ACORN which has nothing to do with Obama, Wright which I don’t believe that Obama shares his views with, questioned his religion, his nationality, called him an elitist and a communist/socialist.
McCain campaign reaks of desperation, even his running mate was chosen to only help him get elected but has done the opposite.
Ah, the beauty of having almost unlimited funds at your disposal.
Fact: Obama is running more negative ads than McCain.
The reason the RNC is running so many character attack ads is because they have to break this spell Obama seems to have over his supporters. Right now it’s impossible to run a positive ad with facts because his supports just dismiss it as spin while believing any stat Obama puts in front of them, including his BS 95% tax cut stat.
I’m disappointed that they decided to run with Ayers though. The connection is weak, especially compared to Acorn or even better, Wright.
Some Wright facts:
He’s on record saying he was his spiritual advisor.
He sat in that church for 20+ years. None of this, “we served on a board together once” BS there.
Wright has been preaching his hate recently, unlike Ayers who’s teaching at a university now.
ACORN spends MILLIONS in voter verification. They are required BY LAW to hand in ALL REGISTRATIONS GIVEN TO THEM. That’s why they sort them into “verified” and “these are probably bullshit” piles.
foreign dollars being donated to Obama should be seen as a good thing…
Foreign Policy is a major issue in the election and America’s reputation in the world is also a key issue here… foreign dollars coming, especially the excess over what McCain receives from abroad, should be seen as a vote of confidence from around the world.
Everyone in the world wants Obama in there… My mom called me to ask if i could get Obama signs for her lawn…lol… i’d sport them too. I’ve only ever spoken to one person in Canada who supports McCain and it was sort of in jest.
Being suspiscious of dollars coming in from abroad is such a fggt perspective.
Well, it’s 100% ILLEGAL to accept campaign contributions from foreign donors. That’s why it’s an issue.
As for Acorn, I’m sure it’s all 100% legit Joe. That’s why there are investigations in 6 or 7 states now and Democrats are fighting via the courts in any state that has passed basic voter ID laws. They don’t want ID because they know damn well massive fraud is going on and requiring basic ID would put an end to it.
It’s funny that this was the first election in Canada where their new voter ID laws went into effect. Turnout was down, and the conservatives picked up 15 seats. I’m sure the liberal party is crying that a bunch of legit voters were turned away, but more than likely Canada now has a much more legitmate voting system than the US.
This foreign money story is total distraction BS. The idea that there’s this massive network of CC accts and fake names submitting sub $200 donations is a little hard to believe. B/c once any CC acct goes over $200 then they need to report the name, data, etc…
I don’t see how you got that from what Biden said.
Speaking at a fundraiser in Seattle on Sunday night, Mr Biden said: “Mark my words, it will not be six months before the world tests Barack Obama like they did John Kennedy. The world is looking. We’re about to elect a brilliant 47-year-old senator president of the United States of America. Remember I said it standing here . . . we’re gonna have an international crisis, a generated crisis, to test the mettle of this guy.”
It is common sense to think that groups are going to try to test a president and see how he reacts, especially such a high profile candidate that has garnered attention and support across the globe. And secondly I am happy that they will be taking the approach of seeking allies and help from other countries in the time of crisis rather then just doing it ourselves.
Forgot to add this in, Do I think this was a smart thing to say? No not at all and he should be punched in the nuts but he is probably right
Yes, but not usually by something of the level of the Cuban Missile Crisis, which is what Biden was talking about when he said, “Mark my words, it will not be six months before the world tests Barack Obama like they did John Kennedy."
