I would come but my 240 is in the body shop having my skirt package put on and painted and it will be done after the long weekend Im going down to New York City for the weekend but it would of been nice if I had my 240sx so at least I could come to the meet. The cool thing is I have been driving around in a 2004 Chrysler 300, I have to give it back on on Tuesday, Im not a chrysler fan at all but this car is realy impresive 300 HP it moves and it has a Bentley Mulsane look to it and handles realy good for a car it’s size, it’s no 240sx but for it’s size it moves very well. Oh well there is always next week right?
Yeah it’s got the HEMI…what a power house! Chrysler doesn’t have the best cars but when it comes to torque they are doing something right. I have never driven a sport car with more torque then a Dodge Viper and I have never driven a 4 door sedan that has more torque then this 300. And from what I hear they have a 500 hp truck that came out and it’s supost to have more torque then any other pickup truck available…By all means this doesn’t mean I like Chrysler products… Other then the Dodge viper the only good things that ever came out of Chrysler came out in the 1970’s. For you muscle heads out there you know what Im talking about.
The Hemi is nothing special in fact there are many Hemi engines out there including the RB class of Nissan engines. All a hemi is doing it having a hemi spherical shaped combustion chamber with the spark plug located dead center in the top. In therory this will give a more even burn and provide more power. So the Hemi is really not somthing I would brag about. If I owned a skyline I would love to go up to some guy in a Hemi powered truck and say “Mines got a HEMI too lol”
Yeah the Titan has 315 hp but Dodge came out with a 500 hp! truck on motor trend they were saying the only real reason they came out with that truck is to take out the Ford F150 Lightning not because anyone wants to spend $60,000.00 on a work truck. Dodge wants to have the most powerful truck available. Just give GM a year they will find a way to kill it.
The 300C with the 5.7L V8 Hemi has 340hp and 390ft/lbs. No wonder it felt so torquey! Personally though, no numbers could ever coax me into buying a Chrysler, but hey, a rental, why not?! :lol:
Yeah I hate that plastic crap they use to “dress-up” the engine bay! A ninja turtle… :lol: True. As sure as the world turns, people will run out and buy the car because it’s a ‘HEMI’ (most don’t even know what that even means) and it has a low price tag for it’s class and looks “different”. Well, to each his own.
Coincidentally, the father of a guy I work with works for Chrysler. He gets to take home a different vehicle every day. So I drive by his house on my way to work and once in a while I’ll see one of these…
