Nobody cares besides you quit bitching about it…
My dyno numbers were super consistent on john’s dyno. all within 5-10hp i believe and same with tq. I understand it’s just for tuning purposes but i know i’ll always go back there because i know it’s consistent and it’s where my car has been tuned. No sense in jumping around on different dyno’s just for numbers. Choko’s corvette laid down 441hp on New Era’s dyno then on spinas it put down 441.7.
Just a SURE Intake.
John did a second pull about 1 minute after the first due to some delay in the setup (was at their dyno day), but the results weren’t too much lower. I think it may have been something like 10hp/10tq less.
I will be adding some more parts, getting an AP and then coming to you for the tune. Though at this point the tune will be waiting til spring since there is no point in have the new map in place for ~1 month. It is my DD after all.
Do diesel trucks count? lmao

If mike wants to put my Evo X on the dyno I have a baseline from emerys dyno too so that way there’s no drama on who’s dyno reads more accurate. I baselined 247/257 on his dyno. I’m sure it’s not that different but I’m always game.
I disagree, high dyno numbers can draw customers making shops more money. Lets say Ive been around a few years and have seen the hype on the boards and car forums about high dyno numbers that dont translate to faster cars/bikes.
In 2002 I bought a 2000 929 fireblade from a guy that had spent over 8,000 dollars on engine work and after it was done he was handed a dyno slip with 148whp from the shop that did the work only to take it to another shop and it dynoed at 122whp. I bought the bike and took it to a third shop and it dynoed at 121whp all done on dynojets.
When people pay big money for a product they expect results and thats what high reading dyno’s or dyno’s that have been manipulated can provide.
Well guess what the other 99% of this thread is happy posting numbers for comparison.
If Innovative doesn’t want to be involved sweet…
He was probably talking about Ricky Bobby (BTF Racing). Out of the 4 dyno’s I know of in Rochester he’s the only one that has a land and sea I believe…
Dear all concerned parties,
Everyone knows that a dyno number isn’t an end all being of a cars performance and there are many variables between manufactures. We are all aware that there is a drag race leaderbord on this forum for more factual representation of a vehicles abilities. This thread is for fun and I think we all understand some feel their dyno reads lower then others and dislike this thread. I believe you are missing the point that things like this and forums in general are for fun and you are taking this way too personal and making it less fun for all involved.
Thanks,
Andrew
846 whp and 620 tq here.

9 cars over 600rwhp/awhp
I had no idea that there were so many stout cars locally. I’d fucking kill to be on the low end of that chart
Not for any scientific purposes, but just an example.
Original run was 509whp on a DD… conversion factor put in to make it read like it was on another local shops dynojet. Spits out 621whp. This was the approximate conversion factor after taking a few cars from a DD chassis dyno, to Dynojet and calculating a conversion factor off the results.
Pretty crazy difference. Don’t put that number on the board.
EDIT: maybe its not the 509 run. even worse.
piss off I will take my SHO if there is another dyno day coming up. It should put down a 17Xwhp you can’t have the bottom end of the chart.
Fuck you. I’ll bring the Ur which made 150 horsepower when new, at the crank. I bet it would be 99awhp. I was trying to say I’d love to be on the right of the graph where the “low” end was 300whp
Hanszel no offense but I would call that nothing but owner/operator propaganda unless YOU went right from the DD to a Jet and reproduced similar numbers.
Wasn’t meant to make anyone feel better, was meant to show how simple it is to sway numbers etc. The owner/operator is a good friend, and we were just screwing around in conversation and he popped up this example. Again, nothing remotely true/accurate.
Updated. Keep in mine the forum auto-shrinks the image to fit. If the image is hard to read, right click and ‘view image’ or open it in a new tab / window.
Just tuned on Turbociv’s dyno:
