Save yourselves the headache of reading all of this and see post #146 on page 6

Dont you buy cars like everyother day?

I would stick to one.

Personally, I’d say no fucking way.

few pros and cons

TA- handles better, better stereo, looks meaner, lower miles, airbags/abs ect

T-Type- faster (11s vs low 13s), cheaper insurance ($300 for the year vs $85 a month), sounds meaner, sleeper , no OBD inspection

I figure both are similar on gas mileage as well as value and collectibility/rarity

yeah since I am too poor to have a collection I like to pretend I am rich and sample them

yes, buick ftw. F-bods are too played out.

I guess thats sorta my problem for the last 5yrs for my weekend toy I have had nothing but fbodies, 2 Lt1s and 4 Ls1s

and um yeah I have owned a few cars

That buick is tits

yeah, I got a ride in it today, it pulls HARD when the boost kicks in :word:

Stick with what you have.

And don’t assume because he’s been able to jump through all the hoops to get classic car insurance means you’ll be able to.

  1. Extremely strict on driving record. I got turned down for a cell phone ticket by one company. That was all I had on my record.
  2. Lots of requirements about your other cars. Must show proof that all licensed drivers in the household have reliable DDs because they don’t want you DDing the classic.
  3. Age requirements. I had to sign a statement that no one under 25 would drive it.
  4. Storage requirements. I had to send pictures of my garage.
  5. Some have restrictions on how much you can drive each year.

man I had no prob for my classic insurance for my 72’ that blows man.

Buick FTW

wow, I had none of that issue insuring my impala or mustang… when I am under 25…

wrong, wrong and wrong

jump through hoops?, jay the car is considered a classic now, no hoops need to be jumped through.

its different for each company.

in two words, fuck yea!

its ok man, I have had various cars in the 60s and 70s
I am 31 btw
clean license, nice barn to store the car, I have a DD
and I have dealt with JC Taylor numerous times

Good advice though

I can get the specifics from my father Tim, as far as what hes paying and if any restrictions are on it. Obviously if it was that restricted it would of never been to the track.

treat the gbody good.
Theres tons of 4th gen fbodys.
Like crashing that gbody would = crashing like 10 4th gen fbodys.
Chances are your not finding another one.

with that said Gbody >*

i say no

I say no because I love those T/A’s and even though the Buick is a badass I’m not a big fan of the styling anymore.

I am not too worried man
I have the cash I would be more worried about gas than insurance lol
Thanks though
