I think that is his point. The Braves didn’t need to invest a ton to be a decent team. They mostly go after prospects and develop their own talent. Texeria was the first big acquisition in a while.

This is where you don’t have a clue, but thanks for trying i guess. JONES WANTS $20 MILLION. Only the Yankees would be that stupid (see “The Roger Clemens experiment”). He had the worst season ever and refused to change his swing when offered help or advice. It would be a waste to give him and $8,000,000 raise when they have someone just as capable to take his place (See Jeff Francoeur). The Braves made the perfect decision. They need pitching right now and nothing else.
