First pic, I’m thinking “would not get my pants sandy for my car on a beach” and then the second I was like :excited! A cool place, with a sweet view that I never would of thought to take pictures at. Would be extra dope if water was brought to wet down that smooth concrete for some nice reflections.
Once I edit the pics, I’ll post up a spot I just hit up tonight that looked alright.
Alright, just looked through the shots from earlier tonight, this is probably the best - Spot is a building located right where the bike path access is on the Nisky side of the Rexford bridge near the path’s overpass.
Unfortunately since my battery quit kind of early I didn’t have the chance to remove the front plate or get any better angles, was going to move the car around a bit as well, probably gonna pimp this spot tomorrow. Also I think my lens is backfocusing…bummer the AF point was on the vehicle, but the shot is clearly focused on the wall
Now we’re getting somewhere! I have a few places in mind but I dont have pics from the locations so I would be breaking my own rules. I know AMD has a few locations he could probably share. Not to call anyone out…
i’ll guess I’ll post a couple cause I haven’t shot a car in years :lol
1st one is well known now and overused, but back in 2003 when this was taken, it was brand new. This is the top floor of the parking garage in front of the plaza in albany
This one I used a few times for friends cars. This is a parking garage in corporate woods off I-90. You can see the mirrored glass front building from the highway…
same location, but the lower level of the parking garage (at night)
Side of Lowe’s in Niskayuna… wall has a cool texture, good lighting for night shots… I’m sure there is millions of discreet parking lot locations like this but I’m just trying to keep the thread alive!
Location is a piece of road called the Hawks Nest. It’s a section of NY97 just North of Port Jervis. It run’s along the Delaware river on the NY/PA border.
The road has multiple pull over spots with great views and is a fun drive besides, a worthwhile detour if you’re ever in the Catskills.
